This session will focus on the historic anniversary of Ms. Magazine and Katherine Spillar’s work with it as executive director. Our WGST affiliates in the Schieffer College, especially Dr. Melita Garza and her Diversity in Journalism class, are co-hosting this event. This event is open to anyone who is interested; RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org.
We are honored to welcome Katherine Spillar to campus as our WGST Green Honors Chair. In December 2001, the Feminist Majority Foundation became the sole publisher of Ms. magazine, and in 2005, Spillar was named Executive Editor. A specialist in community organizing, Spillar is also a trained economist and researcher, speaks to diverse audiences on a broad range of feminist topics, and appears frequently on television and radio.
