The Role of Women in Global Activist Movements with Nobel Laureate Leymah Gbowee

Join us for a discussion on the role of women in global activist movements. Ms. Gbowee’s leadership in Women of Liberia Mass Action for Peace contributed to the ending of the Second Liberian Civil War. Ms. Gbowee was honored with a Nobel Peace Prize in 2011 for her work. Her story was prominently featured in the 2008 documentary Pray the Devil Back to Hell.
